Explanation: Tag - Riaru Onigokko (2015) - The Chasing World

Yes, I know I wasn't planning to write anything anymore on this blog. But this film caught my interest that I had to write my thoughts somewhere.

Posssible Spoiler, IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED IT, STOP! I just wanted to share how I understand the message of the film, if there is any. I am actually interested on other peoples opinion on how they see the film, and I do believe that I don't need to watch the previous films and the series in order to understand the message of the film. I'm actually interested to read the original novel but I can't seem to find a copy available anywhere. So, without further adieu...

The Film shows 3 personas, namely: Mitsuko, Keiko and Izumi. I will try my best to explain together with the last part of the film on what I think really happened to them.

First let's tackle Mitsuko. From what you see Mitsuko was not your typical school girl. In fact she was eccentric. Why? In the bus scene. we can see everyone was having so much fun. They were laughing, shouting , throwing stuff at each other. Even the teacher and the driver has these smiles on their faces - these moments symbolizes that they are normal - they are all alike. What we should notice was Mitsuko was alone, she was writing a poem in her little notebook. Then, 2 classmates noticed her and well the other one is actually trying to tease her. Well, It's not that offensive but analyzing from her eccentric behaviour she was actually sensitive from teasing.

Moving on, the next events were the slicing of the bus were everyone was starting to die except Mitsuko. When she crouched down to get her pen, a gust of wind started cutting everyone on half. Making Mitsuko the only survivor. What actually happened, the last part of the film Mitsuko committed suicide. Everyone was dying but in reality she was the one dying, she felt alone, she felt different - she wanted an ending.

Second is Keiko. Keiko is a person who is bound to marry someone. The scene was simpler than the first one. This was the view of Keiko herself wherein everyone was so happy for her but in fact that was all front. She knows that behind those smiles and words of congratulations, that's not what most of them think of her. Maybe, they think of her as using her groom as an escape goat from poverty or it's just for the money or something, could also be forced or whatever.

The groom, was symbolized by a Pig. A dirty pig, that could mean that it only shows lust towards keiko.

Now again, what really happened. Keiko killed herself in front of everyone. The scene wherein they were fighting was what she wants to do with everyone, she wants to shout, kick, punch, kill everyone. But just like the first one, it was all in her mind - and as an escape she killed herself with a broken bottle.

The Third one was Izumi which I found the most common of them all. From the various scenes we see Izumi was a top athlete adored by everyone. But what was wrong? She was actually pressured, everyone was expecting too much of her - she was pushing herself to the limit wherein she was no longer happy and at the point she thinks that she can no longer lose or everyone will think differently of her. What happened, she died when she crossed the fence.

Now, what are the other things that we should consider important during the film that would help us support and understand these theories.

Aki = was the best friend - the friend - the conscience - the mind. She plays the biggest role here and I don't even think she even really exist. She was the one deciding on what actions they should do, in other words she was the one thinking - she was the mind.

The old man and the game - No, the story was not a game. The game symbolized something, have you noticed it was similar to Grand Theft Auto V wherein you "control" 3 characters in different events. Meaning, the film was based on 3 Persona having 3 Different Events - and that their life and actions has always been controlled by the judgement of people around them.

The old man - could be the devil. The title of the film was "Riaru Onigokko" - which also means "devil's tag".

The last part - the man on briefs and the male world. - Female's are pure, they are sensitive. The Male World where Mitsuko came in was the time where a female enters puberty or adulthood and meets people in the opposite gender. They like and fell, but in a wrong turn they can be treated like toys. The place was full of female statues or whatever are those shows that the Man was counting girls, using them and playing with them. The feathers symbolized Mitsuko's purity then it was stained with blood for she was about to lose here purity and she was about to be used. When she came in to here senses her final line was "Don't play with us like toys!"

The final line makes a clear message - Stop treating girls as toys.

In the end, Death became there escape and everything became surreal - having the quality of a dream.

Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Cloud Strife

Hi Everyone! This will be the last post this blog will be posting - It's been a wonderful 3 years [almost] of collecting, reviewing and posting here. The joy when you see your views are increasing time to time really was an achievement but yes, angelprisz.blogspot may not be one of those succesful blogs I'm proud to say that it was worth the time. And thank you~ I may not have regular viewers but thank you~

So, for now - this last post will be all about the previous Playarts Kai FF7AC release, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. I was expecting this figure, since yes I really like Cloud - beyond those emo-ish of his and FF7 was my favorite PS1 game since I was a kid. And yes you're right, I did managed to get the old Play Arts Version back then because I didn't liek the details they had and I was afraid because I don't know how to recognize bootlegs from not [yes they had ones].

Note: I didn't put any thumbmarks on the following pictures so feel free to use them.

Moving on...

I forgot to take shots of the Box so let's just move on...

What you should get? - If you are planning to get one, you should be able to have this pieces in your package. first and Obviously it must have Cloud on it, Next a fully formed Fusion Sword [or call it Bastard Sword if you like], then a dissassembled Fusion Sword consists of 7 pcs. Then an alternate arm, and 6 hand [3 left, 3 right] - and of course your package should include a stand.

So, are the Details good? - Actually, Yes. Comparing to the old one which are smaller - this one is pretty much detailed given that you were able to get a good copy of the figure. Well, let's be honest - Playarts Kai today has so many issues in terms of Quality. But yes, as I said if you were able to grab a good copy this is actually good. The Face is closer to what you see in AC, the details, even the wolf in his elft shoulder pad is pretty much accurate. The swords are good, even though it can't be combined as one and they had to make seperate ones it was good. Well, I think the logic why they didn't make the fusion swords as a combinable item is because it would gather much weight and prone from breaking.

So, what more to expect with this swords? Well, actually these swords gives you a lot more option in posing the figure. And yes, you can put the swords in the holsters at his back - but! only one of the short swords would fit, so the count is right but putting them in has an excess.

Is the figure any good n terms of it's articulation? Yes, it's actually quite good. You could do massive amount of poses just be careful not to damge the joints and putting in pressure too much.

Common Issues found? - Well, here's a few. First, upon purchasing, I ehard news that sometimes both legs are not the same leg and usually the right one is short. Next, since the arm joints are not butterfly joints the left arm is prone in loosing everytime you take it off and changing it with the other arm. Third [pic below], the biceps will sometimes pop and you'll see white powders inside. Honestly, I don't know what it is but yes you can still put it back. Fourth, the wrist joints are loose - not ideal when Cloud is holding the sword.

Lastly, things to remember - the Holster is not removable and is made of thin strips of rubber so avoid placing Cloud with High Temperate cause yes it made cause it to break. And the cloth is not removable too [The skirt like thing in his left leg.].

Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Tifa Lockhart

Well as I stated in my Instagram post these past few days I am planning to shut down this blog since well things are not running smoothly both me as a collector and a human being, lol. And the last fews posts I will be doing are Square-Enix Play Arts Kai Cloud and Tifa which was expected to come by sometime in March. Luckily, Tifa arrived earlier than expected.

Just like my previous posts I will make this simple. But this time I'll list down everything then at the end will be the picture.

  • Box - the box height was the same and as big as PAK Yuffie's Box.
  • 7th Heaven [Tifa's Bar] Logo printed inside the box.
  • Tifa is approximately 9" tall.
  • Tifa has an alternate head with swaying hairs for posing capability
  • Tifa has a "Put-in-your-gloves-to-fight" hands.
  • Tifa has a pair of these: Open Hands [Default], Clenched Fist, Open Hands [with gLoves], Clenched Fist [with gloves]
  • Materials are the same as most PAK's
  • Highly poseable? yes she is. Articulation was good.
  • Details? - She was highly photogenic. Yes she is although manufacturing errors are yet unavoidable - waht do I mean by these? Well, I got the figure sealed but upon opening some dark smudges around her neck was found. I needed to wipe them off.

FIGMA # 233 Racing Miku 2013 EV Mirai Ver. + FIGMA EX:Ride SPride.06 Racing Miku TT Zero 13

Miku Hatsune is back and this time she's not only here to take us away with her songs and kawaii look but she's here to break the top speed from the store to our shelves! Racing Miku 2013: EV Mirai Ver. together with EX:ride TT zero 13 is finally here! Gosh! I was so excited that I haven't eaten until I finished checking them both. TT Zero 13’s Miku mascot and a Hatsune Miku GT project x TEAM MIRAI collaboration. One of the most unique Hatsune Miku out there yet! So, Buckle up! Let's start!

  • Box:
  • Figma #233: Racing Miku 2013 EV Mirai Ver. - normal release, box layout divided into three colours [pink on top and black on the bottom]
  • Height: approx 5"- 5 1/2" Scale
  • Figure: Articulated ABS and ATBC-PVC Figure
  • Figma EX:Ride SPride.06 Racing Miku TT Zero 13
  • Manufacturer: Max Factory

  • Accesories:
  • Figure
  • 2 Faceplate - Standard normal face and Happy open-mouth whatsoever face
  • Helmet (With neck peg attached)
  • Water Bottle (hand attached)
  • 2 Jacket Sleeve Part (Widely Opened and Closed)
  • 8 Hand parts (2 standards, 6 extras)
  • Extra Hand Peg (yey! because personally I don't like hand pegs, it was harder to change hands ever since)
  • Articulated Stand
  • Figma Plastic Bag

I'll keep everything short and I'll try to answer some question people are asking when I got the figure:

  • Design: - Miku wearing a silver coloured sports bra with Printed EV Mirai and White Motocross pants with a jacket tied around her waist (unremovable except for sleeves).
  • Colour Scheme - Green, Pink, White, Silver, Black
  • Details: (10 being the highest) 9 out of 10 - Don't get me wrong the paint app was good, but of course some misalign paints are visible you just need to stare a little more.
  • Articulation: (10 being the highest) 8 out of 10 - a slightly different lower torso, the PVC sheet is getting in the way but don't worry it won't get in the way when you are putting her in the bike.
  • Accessories: 2 Face plates? Well, could have been better if there were a serious expression included - the open-mouth one doesn't seems right that Miku is so happy she never closes her mouth while racing lol jk.
  • Is there any similar decal issues? - I found this issue on my SNK Figma's wherein the logos wears off but for this one there's not much to be afraid of. As far as I can see the Good Smile logo found on her back was the only thing that would likely to wear off.
  • Issues? - aside from the "I'm-to-afraid-to-split-her-legs-because-something-is-blocking-it" part the thing I really don't like and probably in other Figma is the peg on the hands - although an extra peg was included.
  • Is the helmet wearable? - Yes, remove Miku's head and a neck peg is included.

  • EX:Ride SPride06 TT Zero 13
  • Manufacturer: FREEing
  • TT Zero Bike
  • 2 More rearset/footpeg [Left and Right]
  • Stand
  • Heat shield (Bike part, not literal heat shield)
  • And here's something interesting - more waterslide decals! with different Brands, promoters, etc logos!

Again I'll keep this short

  • Bike Wheels are made of rubber and rotates 360 degrees.
  • Bike handles are moveable and so as the front wheel.
  • Bike has changeable rearset/footpeg - I don't own a Motorbike so I don't know what it's really called.
  • Bike has additional water slide decal (I mentioned that before right?)
  • Bike Design: Decal doesn't seem to be prone from wearing off
  • Issue: The freaking bike smells - I don't know why could have been the rubber wheels or the applied glue on the decal.
  • Issue: The rubber wheels are vulnerable from melting if not displayed in Room Temperature.
  • Issue: The freaking stand doesn't work properly haha the bike keeps on falling.

Well, probably one of the hardest thing you'll do after you opened both and finished inspecting them are getting Miku on top of the Bike. Bending is hard at the same time scary - don't want to get a broken Miku after all right?

    Notes:
  • EV means "electronic vehicle"
  • Mirai means "Future"
  • *Each Sold separately
