Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Cloud Strife

Hi Everyone! This will be the last post this blog will be posting - It's been a wonderful 3 years [almost] of collecting, reviewing and posting here. The joy when you see your views are increasing time to time really was an achievement but yes, angelprisz.blogspot may not be one of those succesful blogs I'm proud to say that it was worth the time. And thank you~ I may not have regular viewers but thank you~

So, for now - this last post will be all about the previous Playarts Kai FF7AC release, Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. I was expecting this figure, since yes I really like Cloud - beyond those emo-ish of his and FF7 was my favorite PS1 game since I was a kid. And yes you're right, I did managed to get the old Play Arts Version back then because I didn't liek the details they had and I was afraid because I don't know how to recognize bootlegs from not [yes they had ones].

Note: I didn't put any thumbmarks on the following pictures so feel free to use them.

Moving on...

I forgot to take shots of the Box so let's just move on...

What you should get? - If you are planning to get one, you should be able to have this pieces in your package. first and Obviously it must have Cloud on it, Next a fully formed Fusion Sword [or call it Bastard Sword if you like], then a dissassembled Fusion Sword consists of 7 pcs. Then an alternate arm, and 6 hand [3 left, 3 right] - and of course your package should include a stand.

So, are the Details good? - Actually, Yes. Comparing to the old one which are smaller - this one is pretty much detailed given that you were able to get a good copy of the figure. Well, let's be honest - Playarts Kai today has so many issues in terms of Quality. But yes, as I said if you were able to grab a good copy this is actually good. The Face is closer to what you see in AC, the details, even the wolf in his elft shoulder pad is pretty much accurate. The swords are good, even though it can't be combined as one and they had to make seperate ones it was good. Well, I think the logic why they didn't make the fusion swords as a combinable item is because it would gather much weight and prone from breaking.

So, what more to expect with this swords? Well, actually these swords gives you a lot more option in posing the figure. And yes, you can put the swords in the holsters at his back - but! only one of the short swords would fit, so the count is right but putting them in has an excess.

Is the figure any good n terms of it's articulation? Yes, it's actually quite good. You could do massive amount of poses just be careful not to damge the joints and putting in pressure too much.

Common Issues found? - Well, here's a few. First, upon purchasing, I ehard news that sometimes both legs are not the same leg and usually the right one is short. Next, since the arm joints are not butterfly joints the left arm is prone in loosing everytime you take it off and changing it with the other arm. Third [pic below], the biceps will sometimes pop and you'll see white powders inside. Honestly, I don't know what it is but yes you can still put it back. Fourth, the wrist joints are loose - not ideal when Cloud is holding the sword.

Lastly, things to remember - the Holster is not removable and is made of thin strips of rubber so avoid placing Cloud with High Temperate cause yes it made cause it to break. And the cloth is not removable too [The skirt like thing in his left leg.].
