Qubeley Papillon VS Wing Gundam Fenice

Now, the latest addition in my gunpla collection - Aila Jyrkiäinen's Qubeley Papillon. To be honest I am not a fan of Puru from the previous Gundam series and not a fan of the old Qubeley either - although I am a fan of Marida Cruz who rides Kshatriya. But I was indeed a fan of Aila in the Gundam Build Fighter Series. In my Opinion, if you don't like HGBF and not a fan of Qubeley I am not suggesting you get this kit. Just like what bandai did with MK-II, this is an old mold with changes in some runners like colour scheme and parts. Don't expect great articulation since it was the same with the old HGUC Qubeley kit.

This is the first time I'll be using a Metallic Red Gundam Maker so this had a crappy paint job. I didn't want to use the stickers so I tried it anyway.

The NMX-004 Qubeley Papillon is a custom mobile suit appearing in the anime Gundam Build Fighters, and is a variant of the AMX-004 Qubeley. The Gunpla is possibly built by Nemesis and primarily controlled by Aila Jyrkiäinen.

Now, one of the changes made in the Kit was it's head. If your wondering what, it's the v-fin and a different alien like face.

But the Mewtwo-Head-Tail thingy stays.

Qubeley Papillons's Lance

Funnels - and yes, you put each funnels in each slot.

Now, a proof it was an authentic Qubeley hehe, and a proof it's Qubeley's Mold - 2 LMES can also be seen in the back. What is 2 LMES? Qubeley has the words "2LMES" engraved on its back near the left wing binder, which can be seen in its Gunpla incarnations. This possibly denotes it being the successor of the Mobile Armor Elmeth. (LMES in Japanese phonics will result in LMETH)

Here's an added Trivia - Qubeley is derived from the greek goddess "Cybele" which embodies the fertile earth and Papillon means Butterfly.

Now, as I said if you are not a fan of Qubeley and don't like the GBF Series - I won't recommend this kit. You won't appreciate it because of it's old articulation so you had to have a great crave for qubeley jsut like me.

Figma 154: Kuroyukihime [School Avatar Version]

Kuroyukihime School Avatar version with Arita Haruyuki Piggy Avatar

A random figma I bought while I was visiting local shops. It was a habit of mine to just randomly buy toys that I found. Probably, this was one of the most gorgeous figma I held, aside from it being Kuroyukihime of Accel World but it is greatly sculpt and design. And the fact that it includes a Haruyuki Piggy Avatar makes it more awesome.

Kuroyukihime (黒雪姫, Kuroyukihime; Literally meaning "Princess Snow Black"; lit. Black Snow Princess) is one of the main characters in the Accel World series. She is the current leader of the Black Legion, Nega Nebulus and was formerly known as the Black King (黒王, Kuroō), but hid after defeating the former "Red King". Her biggest ambition is to reach level 10 and meet the creator of the Brain Burst game, but to accomplish that goal, she has to defeat five other level 9 users who just so happen to be "The Six Kings of Pure Color", the leaders of the six most powerful factions in the Brain Burst world.

Unlike the Figma Kuroyukihime Assault version, this was packaged in a Large Box coloured in neon pink butterflies in black background.

Time to open, ah! the smell of fresh figma still in it's silicon package! ah! so good!

Again, if your buying one - your package should contain a figma plastic bag, 6 set of extra hands, a stand and a manual. This is one of the must to check if your figma is authentic since this figma has bootlegs running in town.

Hubbyte toy store held a Photography Contest for the month of February themed of course for the month of love, this was some of the pics in my Instagram entry. Winner was not announced yet, but since I already accepted my lose since I didn't put an effort to it I think it's already safe to post this.

In a final judgement, this figma was to feminine for me but thats also my reason why i think this is just to awesome! In maybe in the old figma articulation but trust, she's a beauty!

Playarts Kai - Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns

The latest addition in my PAK [Playarts Kai] Collection, Claire Farron aka Lightning. A few days ago, the English version of the third instalment of the game Final Fantasy 13 named Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns was released. So, because of the Pre-Order freebies I was forced to pre-order the game - and yes, it did feel incomplete and upon seeing a post from a friend that he was selling an PAK LR, I took the opportunity to buy it from him. Thanks Paul for the PAK and the Discount if ever your reading this!

Before we move on, Who is Lightning Anyway? Here is a detailed Info from Final Fantasy Wiki.

Lightning, real name Claire Farron (Eclair Farron in the Japanese version), is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII. She is the narrator and a temporary playable character in Final Fantasy XIII-2, and returns as the protagonist and sole permanently playable character in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. She is the overall heroine of the Final Fantasy XIII games.

In Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning seeks to save her younger sister Serah, but becomes entangled in a plot that endangers her home of Cocoon. In Final Fantasy XIII-2, Lightning serves as a knight protecting the goddess Etro in Valhalla from her fated rival, Caius Ballad. In Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning is chosen to be a savior by the god Bhunivelze, tasked to save the people's souls before the end of the world.

Lightning is the second main female protagonist in a mainstream numbered Final Fantasy game, the first being Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI.

Now, why get the PAK? The truth is Ms. Farron here happens to be my 3rd Favorite Character in the whole Final Fantasy Universe - where Cloud and Tifa are the First and I'm still waiting for their PAK Reboots since the old ones are too small. And what I love about the series of FF13 - Lovey-Dovey things are minimal. Anyway, here's a thought in the Figure.

Covers shows a preview of the figure, and trust me it gives you the urge to just open it.

PAK: Lightning Returns Box - Back - Shows a series of pose that is, yes! so hard to replicate!

Lightning in his silicon-plastic stuff thing - and always rememebers Authentic PAK's have unbuilt stands inside.

And your figure should include this aside from the paint smell [that paint smell], 3 hands, Equilibrium Sword + the joint thing that will connect it to her Back and Equilibrium Shield. Note: There was a limited edition of this in which if I remember correctly, Lightning is wearing a different Garb.

A close up of Ms. Farron's Head and Face - As you can see, very detailed indeed. Hair sided from one side almost covering her face and a branch of hair pouring down on one side. Sexy red Lips, and small blue eyes. - who would ever think that beauty slayed a Fal'Cie?! Moving on, collar covers her neck and should pads from both right and left. Here's a downside - although it shows beauty turning the head left and right is a pain the butt.

Her Chest is perfectly sculpt and hips as sexy as ever. Don't worry - it's a little moveable.

Fat Legs with long covers going down - with red leather like things covering the rest of his legs to her knees down to her shoes. Panty you say? She is wearing a black Undergarment most likely, the design is like a bathing suit with long covers below. Now what I don't like here is the way these Cover is attached. It's attached in a way where most figure collector hates, in a thin sheet where the possibility of falling off and breaking is high - and it's hard to glue it back in.

And just like a soldier she was, she wears boots not heels.

There you have it...

Now, what was actually wrong? The PAK was a very bad-asses figure itself considering the high level details it has but seriously PAK Articulation had gone bad through the years. I was expecting I could pose it a lot more that it usualy has now - DOn't get me wrong, Articulation was good but somehow I feel limited... :)
