The Man without Fear

Hi Everyone, welcome to our first Marvel Legend Superhero Netflix Series Comic Version that this tag is too long - the man without fear, Daredevil.

We will no longer review about the box and stuff since I already threw them away and lets focus on the Action Figure Itself. But first let's give our hero a little bio.

Name: Matthew Murdock [Earth-616]

Alias: Daredevil

Occupation: Lawyer by Day
Affiliation: New Avengers, Defenders, Nelson and Murdock, SHIELD, Marvel Knights, Hand

Daredevil was never born blind. He was blinded as a child when he save a man walking towards an incoming truck and accidentally spilled a radioactive isotope resulting with his blindness. But this blindness heighten his other senses to a superhuman level.

In one of the version of Daredevil, he wasnt actually blind. He can see an infrared like vision that looks like burning hell.

To give this a better review, let's use another Daredevil figure that we once loved right before when this new Daredevil came months ago.

Before that, if you are asking what is the best Daredevil Marvel Legends Figure - it should have been the Nemesis Series Daredevil that comes in the First Appearnce Version and Classic Red in which I don't have both.

This new Daredevil [left] comes in close with the generic bucky cap mold in which in my opinion indeed has awesome articulation. From head swivel to ankle pivot but in comparison with this old smc Daredevil [right], this old one still has the most and this one shares the same body as the series 6 Deadpool.

But when it comes to articulation, both of them still is poseable. It's jsut that this new bucky mold Daredevil is better because it won't give you that awkward armpit look when you raise his hands unlike the SMC Daredevil.

One thing that I wished that the New Daredevil [left] had was the same paint wash, and added texture on the body. Yes, indeed the color was good that they made it in a blood red color and the light orange variation on the gloves but it's too plain. Even the DD logo is awful comapreed to the DD logo on the SMC.

The weapon too ain't so bad, and this was used already in ML figures like Hellcat and Mocking Bird but what was bad is its too wide that it looks like a long colored white hotdog.

Anyway, the overall figure wasn't so bad - in geeky scale i think the height is still not accurate - but in terms of uniformity. I suggest you get this one and updated your Marvel Legends display with this one.:)

Note: This new Daredevil Figure also comes in it's First Appearance Version which was released as a Walmart Exclusive. This one comes in an alternate Matt Murdock Head which apparently just a repainted RR Series Modern Hawkeye.

Toybiz Marvel Legends Galactus Series Dr. Strange

Doctor Stephen VIncent Strange also known as Dr. Strange - a member of various team such as the Defenders, The Order, Midnight Sons, New Avengers and the Illuminati and serves as the Sorcerer Supreme - the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Known abilites are his Mastery of magic, a genius-level intellect, a skilled neurosurgeon and believe it or not a trained martial artist.

Dr. Strange is included Galactus Wave by Toybz and includes Galatcus right arm. Probably , both him and Xavier was the most must have figure in the wave. Just like Xavier picture out Dr. Strange's comic look and you'll probably see that this one is accurate too. What actually bad was the probable height was a little small and of course those hands that stays on the rock on! position was already bad. And aside from you can't change those hands, both left and right are on those positions.

The Cape was made of soft rubber in which most toys who need a lot of clothing on their appearance has. Wonders why Toybiz didn't use a cloth instead just like on the old ML Gambit. Whatsbad about the rubber coat is it's too heavy for the figure to carry and obviously too big.

Well anyway, even without the coat Dr. Strange looks cool, rocking cool! The figure itself aint half bad in terms of movements but since the cape was too heavy and was too big it makes it less poseable.

And since it's the onlye Dr. Strange ML figure in the market I guess he will do for now - and let's hope hasbro did it better not just in pics.

Toybiz Marvel Legends Rider Series Wonderman

The next in line is Wonderman, yes the Talented Actor Simon Williams. Probably only a few know who he is but yes, he is a member of the various teams of the Avengers and what is his power? Well aside from being a talented actor, an electrical engineer, industrialist and stuntman he is also Ionic-energy empowered, has flight, extended life span, Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and durability and virtual invulnerability. Change your mind about him? a lot of people think he is gayish since his alias was "WONDER" - admit it the first character that comes in your mind when the word wonder is involved is the queen of the amazon herself, Wonderwoman.

Wonderman was included in Series 11: Rider Series in which iincludes a red hover scooter which I no longer included and thrown away over the scraps in the random fodder box in my room and a small Yellow Jacket.

Not much of a figure though, articulation was well great but seems pretty normal. Though a little hunchback and has a hard time folding between the ribs.

The details was ok, but being a big strong guy - he does look like a little small and his head is a little small. Well, a reboot of this might be a little while since he is not hype yet but hoping that someday more people know who Simon Williams is.

Toybiz Marvel Legends Apocalypse Series Iron Fist

For our next Marvel Figure - let's go back to Kun-Lun to meet Daniel "Danny" Rand aka The Iron Fist. Iron Fist is commonly seen with his Heroes for Hire partner Luke Cage aka Power Man Well, same as the Luke Cage figure this was based on their retro apperances which can be recognized on those large collared shirts. For the fact that Hasbro did released the SDCC Thunderbolt Luke Cage that we all hope be released individually they are now planning to release a new Iron Fist taht is scheduled to be included in the upcoming Odin Wave Series. Well before this figure fades out and be forgotten in the toy chest, let's give it hsi own highlight.

In term of details, the figure itself was indeed accurate. Maybe because unlike the other heroes who has complicated designs, Danny here has one of the simplest attire you can make for a hero. But in terms of proportinaility it does look like it hass an elongated torso or such but still it was accurate enough to be unnoticed.

Left - Iron Fist, Right - Luke Cage. What seems to be weird here is noticed Luke Cage's hand? Ever wondered why he has a karate chopping hand? For some reason, I don't know either but Iron fist has the same set of hands which kinda fits him in a kind of way.

The series also has an existing H'ylthri Duplicate Variant [Red] which I posted a couple of months ago. And a few differences can be identified aside from the colour - it has a much more fiercer look because of the opened mouth and let's not forget - some collectors always thought this was a damaged in the production but no it does have a little bumpkin in his head.

Having both of them aint bad since it was explained that they are different Iron Fist. And for the figure having such an awesome articulation it good to play with - just don't play wiith it too much since loosening joints is too prone.

That facial expression though...

Well a high five for being such a great, cheap figure! I hope the incoming new version of this became much greater!

Marvel Legends - Infinite Series - Part 4 - Black Widow

Part 4 of our ML Infinite Series is Natasha Romanoff also known as the Russian spy Black Widow - the most hard to find figure in the series. As we all know, in every series there is always this one figure who are always harder to find - not because they are exclusive. When I interviewed one of the seller in a random shop who were selling this for a way high price she said to me that whenever their shipment arrives in every package there is only one Black Widow Inside - probably one of the reason. Another reason is maybe a lot of people are scalping this figure. But is there any more reason why a lot of collectors are being caught of this figure? Let's see.

So, basically - we have Black Widow inside the package, an extra head with curly short hair and 2 more interchangeable hands. We also have Mandroids upper right cannon and torso making it the key part in building Mandroid.

First, let's answer the question what universe did this Black Widow came from? Based from her appearance this short-curly head came from the first The Avengers Movie with Scarlett Johansson as the actress. Well if you are tracking it right, her first appearance is not The Avengers Movie but in Iron Man 2 with her long-curly hair - I wonder why they didn't create a head for those?. It's perfectly clear the figure does look a lot like Scarlett - we can include this why most people are actually interested in getting the figure - fanboys tee hee.

Then using the second head - we clearly see the Black Widow in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Lets proceed with the figure itself - I must admit I haven't seen all ML Figures especially the SDCC ones but I can say that this is one of the bestest sculpt there is when it comes in the female category. I always remember how bad Scarlet Witch, Emma Frost and X-23 looks and how I wish they re-issue them with this kind of sculpt. Details are about 90% accurate and body proportion were good.

Articulation aint that good though, The Ab-chest connection do move but fails over in the waist but it's ok since if it does move it won't look good. And the lack of accessory is really heartbreaking, and those pistols in her sides doesn't even come off. Again, Is it worth getting? Yes, a great addition in your collection specially if your a Scarlet Johansson Fan. But if you prefer the classics don't get it since she looks more like a Movie Figure rather than an ML Figure or rather get her and change the head from the old one. If you're building Mandroid, Yes she is a must - again she has the key part the Torso

[Marvel Legends] - Scarlet Witch

I got this together with Psylocke, one of the strongest in the Marvel Universe - Scarlet Witch. Famous from her line "No more mutants." in the House of M series that almost wiped all the mutants around the world. The Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) is a fictional comic book character that appears in books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in X-Men #4 (March 1964) and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. She is the daughter of Magneto, the twin sister of Quicksilver, and the paternal half-sister of Polaris.

So yeah, another old ML Figure - but this one well - atleast it has her 30-point of Articulation.

Legendary Series - it comes with a scooter like hover craft thing, Scarlet Witch, A comic and a trading card.

I didn't know Wanda has a scooter? I thought she can float?

Well, let's see if she can pull it off- legit enough.

And yes, it's actually an ugly figure - Hair sculpt was so bad it looks like hair drenched in mud. The color was Ok though, and didn't fade although it was stocked too long. The main problem here was the figures body was so bad it depicts bad. It was so petite, proportionality was so off. So, ML distributors here me - I want a new Psylocke, X-23, Scarlet Witch and Rogue but please! no more BAF like Jubilee and No more rare ones like Black Widow. *sad*

Iron Man Mark 7 by Silver Castle

Iron Man MK7 by Silver Castle

I don't know when was this released but i found a store who were selling this for like Php650 a kit and yes if you're good at asking for discounts they will still give you one. This was the first time i heard of this manufacturer "Silver Castle" so i had no idea on how they are good in replicating original kits. At the same time i can't find the original kit they copied this into. Anyway, let's start.

The Kit Comes in a cute little box, mark with it's manufacturer Silver Castle

Take note, the box should contain 9 Runners, a sticker and 1 Manual

The Sticker are for some side details, this is important the ARC Reactor and the eyes. The Arc Reactor shoudl be seperated and somewhat a special kind of sticker

6 runners are for the head, body, torso, legs, arms, and joints

and the remaining parts would be for the hand that comes in different poses, the effects and the stand.

There you go, now the issues i found about this kit is...

The Stupid Manual, well i know this is a bootleg but come on, some of the parts have the wrong label and if you were a first time builder of such kits you would actually fell for the dumb instruction written on it.

The Runners were actually bad itself, the parts were attached in a bad way leaving noob marks all over when you cut it. Furnishing it is a must but be warned too much scratching will ruined the parts color itself since it was glossy. And i guess i have to praise the color wasn't half bad. It was a semi-metallic-gloss red and a semi-metallic-yellow-gloss color, so it ain't that bad although the plastic is still bad.

Fittings are bad. Yes, some of the parts doesn't fit right. For example, the chin part of the kit has a big male part so attaching it to the face gave me hard time leaving a bad plastic mark on it. some parts doesn't actually fit and you have to either use some fitting cement or better yet, PLACE IT PERMANENTLY.

ARTICULATION is WORST.

In other cases, the ARC REACTOR was a a plus point. The Effects was an asset, although it reminds me of Dragonball instead. And the color although i praised it, im taking it back. The color sucks. It's not red it's Maroon.

And that's it, now in order to make it good you really had to put time and effort on it by realizing it's issues. If your going to have this Kit have fun and enjoy and show how good you are on making Kits look "Awesome".
